Our passion: top class football
Bitburger has been supporting the German national football team for more than 15 years as an official sponsor and seeing them through their biggest successes: runners-up and European champions in 1992 and 1996, runners-up world champions in 2002 in Japan and Korea, as well as third place and the honorary title “World Champions of the hearts“ at the World Cup in their own country in the year 2006 in Germany.
Promotion of young talents for future successes
Bitburger is also already preparing for future championships. The Bitburger promotion organises training camps for young football talents with German Football League professional players and professional talent scouts. This is being done to give young footballers a chance to begin their professional career and to go on with the success story of the Bitburger German Football Association sponsorship.
Tipped for success with Michael Schumacher
Close to the Bitburger Brewery there is the German Formula One race track “Nürburgring“. Since the opening of the track in 1927, Bitburger has been closely connected with motorsports and as a sponsor even celebrated two world champion titles in the premier competition of motorsports with Michael Schumacher and with the Benetton team.
